about

Part of a series of demos originally completed for Warner Chappell Music Publishing, I think this one was omitted because it sounded like a lesser version of Lisp. Still like the lyrics though...

lyrics

There was a time that I felt strong,
head down and crushing everything.
Now I feel like starting gun:
fired up, flash, noise, smoke and blank...

Ambition is gone...

There was a time that I longed
for the sky: young, thirsty satellite.
I see how far I've fallen short.
I’ve pencil marks inside my doorframe.

I know you hate the way I'm leaving things--
in pieces, incomplete.
But you can't change the way I feel these things:
nothing's good enough to keep...

It's like we're children and we're all chasing trash across this windy beach...

I know you hate the way I'm leaving things--
in pieces, incomplete.
But you can't change the way I feel these things:
nothing's good enough to keep...

We behave like children and we chase trash...
